Pengaruh Rebusan Daun Centella asiatica terhadap Kadar HOMA IR Wanita dengan Sindrom Ovarium Polikistik

Sindrom Ovarium Polikistik (PCOS) merupakan gangguan endokrin yang sering dikaitkan dengan resistensi insulin dan inflamasi kronis derajat rendah. Kondisi ini berkontribusi terhadap gangguan metabolik dan reproduksi, meningkatkan risiko diabetes tipe 2, serta disfungsi ovulasi. Salah satu terapi potensial adalah penggunaan bahan alami seperti Centella asiatica, yang diketahui memiliki sifat antiinflamasi dan meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai efek rebusan Centella asiatica terhadap kadar glukosa darah puasa, kadar insulin puasa, dan HOMA-IR pada wanita dengan PCOS. Penelitian ini merupakan Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) double-blind, placebo-controlled dengan 26 peserta yang dibagi dalam kelompok intervensi (Centella asiatica 500 ml/hari) dan kontrol (placebo) selama 8 minggu. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah puasa menggunakan metode hexokinase, kadar insulin puasa menggunakan enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), serta perhitungan HOMA-IR dengan rumus standar. Data diuji normalitasnya dengan Shapiro-Wilk test dan dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test serta independent t-test. Kelompok intervensi menunjukkan penurunan signifikan kadar glukosa (p = 0,045), insulin (p = 0,032), dan HOMA-IR (p = 0,021) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Konsumsi rebusan Centella asiatica efektif menurunkan resistensi insulin pada PCOS, menunjukkan potensinya sebagai terapi komplementer. Studi lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas jangka panjang dan mekanisme kerjanya secara lebih mendalam.
